On 3 May 2023, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková held talks with the State Secretary of the Moldovan Foreign Ministry Vladimir Cuca, in Bratislava. They discussed the development of relations with an emphasis on their economic and energy aspects, as well as the impact of Russian aggression against Ukraine on regional security and development assistance.

The meeting was organised by the European External Action Service together with the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic welcomes the political agreement on the implementation of the Northern Ireland Protocol between President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, which was achieved in Windsor on Monday, 27 February 2023.

On Monday, 20 February 2023, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rastislav Káčer attended the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels. The main topics discussed by the ministers of the EU Member States were Russia's aggression against Ukraine, climate and energy diplomacy as it pertains to the fight against climate change, as well as the human rights situation in Afghanistan. A meeting with Nicu Popescu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova was also on the agenda.

The main discussion topics among the EU member states ministers included the ongoing aggression of Russia against Ukraine, the EU-Ukraine summit under preparation, as well as the developments in the region of Sahel and West Africa.

The main topic of the meeting was Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the Union's approach towards Iran. The Council was preceded by an Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers meeting with EaP countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine).

On 8 and 9 December 2022, in Stockholm, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Andrej Stančík participated in a meeting of State Secretaries and Secretaries-General of the foreign ministries of the EU Member States, organised by the upcoming Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU). The meeting focussed on the presentation of Sweden's priorities and current global challenges, including the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the related energy crisis.
