Minister Lajčák held talks with Slovak Bishop Conference Chairman Mons. Zvolenský

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák met with Slovak Bishops´ Conference Chairman, Bratislava Archbishop metropolitan Mons. Stanislav Zvolenský at the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry on Tuesday (October 28, 2014). The discussion, initiated by the Slovak Bishops´ Conference, revolved around current relations between the Slovak Republic and the Catholic Church in Slovakia.

Telegram of condolences to Egyptian partner with regard to the terrorist attacks in northern Sinai

Today (October 28, 2014), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák sent a telegram of condolences to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Sameh Shoukry with regards to the recent terrorist attacks against Egyptian security forces and the army in northern Sinai.

New designated Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Slovakia Alexey Leonidovich Fedotov presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák today (October 28, 2014).

Statement of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic with respect to the parliamentary elections in Ukraine

Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic congratulates the people of Ukraine for exercising their basic rights in generally calm and peaceful manner, notwithstanding all the challenges Ukraine continues to face. In this respect, before the final results are available, we are pleased to note that the majority of the votes went to the political parties who see future of the country closely linked with the European Union.
